A Discount Website Won't Save You Dollars

There’s nothing wrong with being a bargain hunter, whether you’re looking for a new car, shopping at the mall, or even redesigning your chiropractic practice’s website. However, as with most things in life, you get what you pay for and a discount website won’t necessarily save you money in the long haul. If your goal is more patients, you can’t afford to discount shop!

When It Comes To Chiropractic Websites, Quality Counts

We’re not suggesting you have to go with the most expensive quote you get, but discount website providers will make some big claims they may not follow through with. They’ll show you a list of all the things they’ll do for a relatively small fee, and it’s possible they’ll do all those things. But will doing all of those things actually produce new patients?

When it comes to digital marketing, quality is key. For starters, having a website isn’t enough. Your website needs to be search engine optimized and well as mobile optimized and it should showcase the personality of your practice with a modern and responsive design. Secondly, having any old bit of information on your site isn’t enough. Your content should be unique and high quality and should interest your potential patients, and have them scheduling consultations to find out if you’re the right chiropractor for them. Additionally, a simple pay-per-click campaign isn’t enough. Your advertising campaigns should be managed by specialists who create high-converting custom landing pages for each campaign. After all, what are advertisements for if they aren’t bringing in new patients?

It’s one thing for some to make chiropractic websites, and it’s another thing to make them well. Ask yourself if that too-good-to-be-true deal really is just that.

One And Done

Another discount chiropractic website designer you might come across is the “website is a product” provider. These web designers create a website for you, launch it, and then their job is done.

You may end up with a nice looking website, but what about when you need to update content? Or when you need support? Your pretty new website is not likely to produce new patients if the ongoing work required to stay competitive online isn’t being done.

If you take this path, you will eventually realize that your website requires more work to be effective, and you may be forced to higher contract employees to help you, including a social media manager, PPC consultant, or an SEO team. Not only will there be a disconnect between your new team (therefore in your overall marketing strategy), your inexpensive site is now going to cost you a lot more.

The DIY-ers

As chiropractors, we tend to be pretty hands on. But unless you’re also trained in the skills described above, a DIY website is pretty similar to your website as a product. When it comes to building a website, there’s so much more to it than just laying out what you want it to look like. Not only do you need skills in graphic design, copy write, SEO, but also advertising. The time you spend away from your patients to create a website will end up costing you more in the end.

Your time is best spent doing what you do best - treating patients. With the right online marketing partner behind you (and yes, we have recommendations), you’ll be able to treat even more patients!
