How to Break Free from Your Routine

Chiropractors start off with high hopes for a future of helping others. However, after a few years in practice their routine has usually taken over and stopped them from growing. The most common excuse for the lack of growth: "I have no time!"

So the simple solution to this excuse would be to take the steps needed to free up your time, while still managing your chiropractic practice successfully. You might not even think you have the time to change your routine, but breaking your current habits and patterns will be worth it. Trust me!

It can be very hard to break from your routine. To make a permanent change requires a confidence in your ability to succeed. These steps will help you along the path, but it will take a consistent effort (and possibly help from a coach):

  1. Make the decision that it is time to change and commit to doing whatever it takes to make it happen.

  2. Find your weak spots. Analyze your current practice routine and see where you need to make changes. Start from the first phone call and look at every policy and procedure.  See what needs to be updated. (Give us a call at 877-740-1177 for a free 30 minute consult.)

  3. Make small adjustments. You will be surprised how many areas in your chiropractic practice can be changed to give you more time in your day. However, if you try to change everything at once, you may get paralyzed by how overwhelmed you feel. Pick a few things at a time to adjust and start there. We call it… Chunking.

  4. Write things down! Whether it is a reminder of why you're making the change in the first place or some of the things you need to change, you need to write things down. It will help to keep you on track.
